What to expect

A collagen protocol takes time. The research took time. So does building a routine.

Collagen peptide studies run for weeks or months. That is why a protocol needs one thing above all: consistency.

Studied over weeks

In a clinical study, 76 women aged 50 to 70 took this peptide type daily for 8 weeks.

Randomised and placebo-controlled: the fish collagen study ran for 12 weeks – 8 weeks of intake, 4 weeks of follow-up.

90 days of daily intake – longer than in the study. We have no longer studies of this peptide type from fish.

How our collagen peptides are made

From collagen to bioactive peptides.

Fish collagen is split by enzymes into short, easily soluble peptides. The result: specific bioactive type I collagen peptides with a defined peptide profile – examined in a clinical study.
Step 1The raw material.

Fish collagen is the starting point.

Step 2Split by enzymes.

Enzymes break the long collagen chains down into short, easily soluble peptides.

Step 3A defined peptide profile.

Specific bioactive collagen peptides, type I – examined in a clinical study.

How we check reviews

We collect reviews through the Judge.me service. Reviews marked “Verified” could be matched to an order in our shop. For reviews without this mark, we cannot check whether the person bought or used the product. We show positive and negative reviews and do not change their text. Reviews of different pack sizes of the same product appear together. English and French versions are translated automatically; you can show the original on each review.

    Fast delivery, good product

The main reason for my order was to support my knee joint a little – and after only a few days I noticed that the complaints were lessening, and lastingly so. The delivery arrived very quickly. Many thanks, happy to order again!

A good effect on the nails

I have not been taking the Marine Collagen capsules very long, but I have already noticed a clear improvement in my nails – they have become stronger. With hair and skin I cannot detect any clear change so far. As I am still young and my skin had no problems, that is hard to judge. My hair has not grown faster so far, but I have also only been taking the collagen a short time. All in all the product makes a good impression, so I will keep taking it.

Questions about marine collagen

What marine collagen is, how it differs from bovine collagen, and how to take it daily.

What is marine collagen?

Marine collagen is collagen from fish. It consists almost entirely of type I collagen.

In our products it comes in hydrolysed form: the collagen has been broken down enzymatically into smaller peptides. These peptides are rich in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline — the amino acids that make up the bulk of the collagen molecule.

Marine collagen or bovine collagen?

The two differ in their source – fish or beef.

Marine collagen is obtained from fish and consists almost entirely of type I. Our bovine collagen is type I as well.

Which one suits you is mainly a question of preference: anyone who would rather not consume beef chooses fish – unless they have a fish allergy.

Where does the fish collagen come from?

From the skin of warm-water fish. It is split enzymatically into short type I collagen peptides – with no beef or pork components. Every batch of the collagen raw material is tested before delivery.

How do I take the collagen?

Powder:
Stir 5 g – that is 2 teaspoons – once a day into 250 ml of water, juice or a drink of your choice; the same daily amount as in the study. Unflavoured and soluble, in your morning coffee too.

Capsules:
6 capsules a day with a meal and enough water – about 3 g in total, handy on the go. Prefer to follow the 5 g used in the study? Then the powder is the right choice for you – at the same price per day.

Powder or capsules: one jar lasts 30 days.

What can I expect from the protocol?

The same serving every day – 5 g of powder or 6 capsules – for 90 days, so three jars. And full transparency: this page shows how the ingredients in this product were studied – participants, study design, duration and original sources.

Why do you show studies instead of promises?

Because the decision should be yours. We disclose what was studied – with study design, number of participants and original source. We leave the judgement to you.

Why is the protocol designed for 90 days?

In the study on this peptide type, intake lasted 8 weeks. One jar lasts 30 days – only the 90-day protocol with three jars covers the full study period. That is why we recommend it to start.

Why bioactive peptides — and not just collagen?

“Collagen” alone does not tell you which specific peptides a product contains. Enzymatic hydrolysis splits collagen into smaller collagen peptides, producing peptides with different properties.

For our protocols we deliberately select specific bioactive collagen peptides, taking into account the peptides, doses and intake periods that have been studied.

This is how we link the choice of peptides to clinical studies – matched to each goal.
