The three questions our customers ask most — and our answers.
Products & protocols
Where to start, and what each protocol does.
Which protocol should I start with?
If this is your first time taking collagen, start with Multi Collagen — one daily serving for skin, hair, joints and bones. 6 out of 10 new customers choose it.
If you have a specific goal, take one of the targeted protocols — Marine for elasticity, Joints for mobility, Bone for bone structure. They provide a higher dose of the relevant peptide.
Most customers start with Multi Collagen or use the Product Finder.

What is the difference between Multi Collagen and the specific protocols?
Multi Collagen contains all five collagen types in one formula, as a daily base. The specific protocols contain a single type at the dose used in clinical studies. Multi Collagen is the all-rounder; the specific products are the specialists.
Compare Multi Collagen, Marine Collagen, Type II Collagen.
Can I take several protocols at the same time?
Yes — many customers combine Marine (skin) with Type II (joints), or Type I+V (bone) with Multi Collagen as a base. The body processes the peptides independently of one another. The total daily amount should not exceed 30 g of collagen peptides.

What else is in the product besides collagen?
Our animal-sourced collagen products contain nothing but pure collagen hydrolysate — no colours, no flavourings, no fillers. Capsules come in a clear, vegan HPMC shell.
The vegetarian product also contains hyaluron and elastin. The vegan one is a plant-based amino acid complex, with no additives.
You will find the full ingredient list on each product page.
Are the products vegetarian or vegan?
Collagen is an animal protein — genuinely vegan collagen does not exist. We offer a vegetarian formula (with eggshell membrane extract) and a vegan formula (a plant-based amino acid complex that supplies the building blocks the body itself uses, without animal protein).

Taking it & dosage
How to take collagen and fit it into your day.
How much should I take?
The recommended daily amount is on every jar. 5–10 g a day is a good guide — what matters most is taking it every day.
When is the best time to take it?
Regularity matters more than the exact time. Most people take their daily serving in the morning — in water, coffee or a smoothie. With or without food makes no difference.
Powder or capsules — which is better?
Same peptides, same dose. Powder dissolves in any liquid and can be measured precisely; capsules are more practical when you are out. The choice is about your daily routine, not about the product.
Can I dissolve the powder in hot drinks?
Yes. Collagen peptides are heat-stable up to roughly 250 °C — hot coffee or tea does not affect them. They dissolve particularly well in liquids above 40 °C.
Do I really have to take it every day?
Daily use is the basis of the clinical research — and our recommendation. Collagen peptides are broken down within about 24 hours, so a skipped day is a missed serving. The occasional exception does no harm, but the daily rhythm is what counts.
Results & effect
When changes become visible — and what the research shows.
When will I see first results?
In the clinical studies, skin outcomes were typically measured after about 8 weeks of daily use and joint outcomes after about 10–12 weeks. Bone density studies generally run 3–6 months or longer. Individual experience varies.

Why exactly 90 days?
90 days is the period most clinical studies use as the basis for their results, which is why we built the protocol around it. It gives the body a realistic amount of time before you judge the outcome.
Is the research behind this published?
Yes. The peptides we use have been examined in randomised, placebo-controlled studies — for example at the University of Freiburg (joints, 2021) and the University of Kiel (skin, 2020). The relevant studies are linked on every product page — read them and judge for yourself.
Safety & tolerability
Allergens, interactions and everything about taking it safely.
Are the products safe?
Yes. Hydrolysed collagen peptides are a permitted food ingredient in the EU and have been used in clinical research for decades. Every batch is independently tested for heavy metals, microbial load and purity.
Can there be side effects?
Side effects are very rare — during the first week some people notice mild digestive discomfort while adjusting. If anything more than that occurs, stop taking the product and contact us.
Can I take collagen if I have a pre-existing condition?
We do not give medical advice. Most pre-existing conditions are compatible with taking collagen — but if you are being treated for a chronic illness or take prescription medication, speak to your doctor first. The ingredient list is on each product page; simply show it to them.
Can allergic reactions occur?
The marine raw material contains fish and the vegetarian one eggshell membrane — both are labelled as allergens under EU Regulation 1169/2011. All animal-sourced raw materials (beef, pork, chicken) are free from milk, gluten and soy.
Is long-term use safe?
Yes. The peptides we use have been examined in long-term studies running over several years. Bone density studies, for instance, deliberately run 12 months or longer, because that is the timescale the research works on.
Can pregnant or breastfeeding women take the product?
We do not give medical advice. As we have no specific clinical data for pregnancy and breastfeeding, we recommend pausing during those periods and resuming after weaning. If in doubt, please speak to your doctor.
Storage & shelf life
How to store it and how long it keeps, at a glance.
How should I store the products?
Dry and out of direct sunlight — an ordinary kitchen cupboard at room temperature is ideal. Close the lid firmly after opening.
How long do the products keep?
24 months from the production date while unopened — the exact best-before date is printed on the base of the jar. Once opened, use within 4 months.
Does the powder need refrigerating?
No. Refrigeration is not necessary — moisture in the fridge can actually affect quality. Room temperature in a cupboard is enough.
